To strengthen Kebbi’s human capital through comprehensive education, skills development, and healthcare initiatives, while formalizing the informal sector to foster inclusive growth and economic integration.

Focus Areas:

  1. Education and Vocational Training: Implement programs to build a skilled workforce, including specialized training for youth and women.
  2. Comprehensive Skills Development Strategy: Develop a strategy to equip at least 500,000 youth and women with market-relevant skills.
  3. Health and Wellness Programs: Initiate programs to enhance the quality of life and productivity through improved healthcare services.
  4. Formalizing the Informal Economy: Create frameworks to organize and integrate informal businesses into the formal economy.
  5. Labor Market Policies: Develop policies to support job creation, worker protection, and labor market efficiency.
  6. Micro-Business Empowerment: Support micro-businesses and SMEs through training, financial access, and market integration.
  7. Micro-Pension and Micro-Insurance Schemes: Establish these schemes to provide social security to informal sector workers.
  8. Entrepreneurship Development: Foster entrepreneurship through training, mentorship, and access to financing.

  2. Kebbi State Employment Portal and Labor House: Establish a digital platform for job matching and a physical space for labor-related services.
  3. MOUs for Skilled Labor Supply: Execute agreements with industrial provinces and companies to supply skilled labor from Kebbi State.
  4. Cooperative Society Support Initiatives: Strengthen cooperatives to enhance economic opportunities for members.
  5. Education Support Funding Initiatives: Launch funding programs to support educational infrastructure and access.
  6. Formalization of Informal Businesses: Implement measures to bring informal businesses into the formal economy.
  7. Informal Sector Support Funds: Create funds to provide financial assistance to informal sector enterprises.

  5. Micro-Pension and Insurance Platforms: Partner private sector to establish a digital platforms to facilitate micro-pension and micro-insurance schemes for farmers and informal workers.
  6. Entrepreneurship Hub: build an entrepreneurship and cottage industry hub offering resources, mentorship, and financial support for entrepreneurs and small business owners.
  7. Cooperative Empowerment Project: Initiate a support program to encourage formation of cooperative, as well as strengthen cooperative societies, providing them with access to credit, training, and markets.
  8. SMEs Equipment Leasing Support Initiatives: Provide support for SMEs to access equipment through leasing arrangements, enhancing their operational capacity.
  9. Employment and Labor Services Portal: An online portal for job seekers and employers to connect, providing labor market data and resources.
  10. Education Support Fund: In partnership with the financial institution and support private sectors, established a fund dedicated to enhance educational infrastructure, scholarships, and teacher training programs.
